LRC Inaugurates Concert Hall in Marjeyoun
Under the patronage of Lebanese Red Cross President Dr. Antoine Zoghbi, a concert hall, named after Ms. Rima Amal Hourani, was inaugurated at the LRC Marjeyoun center. A number of public, security, military, and social figures, heads of municipalities, and representatives of the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) attended the event, as well as the head of Medical-Social Department Ms. Amina Berri Fawaz, directors, Marjeyoun local committee members, and volunteers.

A documentary film about the services of the Marjeyoun center was shown to the attendees, then the head of Local committee Dr. Antoine Farhood then gave a welcoming address, thanking the supporters of the center, especially head of the Jdeidet Marjeyoun municipality Mr. Amal Hourani for his constant and generous backing of the committee. Dr. Zoghbi then highlighted the role of the Lebanese Red Cross, especially in the Marjeyoun region where it launched its services in 1984. He noted that the LRC is witnessing new and necessary development, becoming a cornerstone in the health safety field and calling for continuing the support to the organization so that it stands for each of those in need.

At the end of the ceremony, Ms. Hourani was granted a medal in recognition of her generosity and support to the LRC. The funding of the hall was achieved through Ms. Hourani’s participation in a marathon in Geneva, which she ran in support of the LRC.
