LRC Provided First Aid & Medical Services to Syrian Returnees
In the context of its humanitarian mission and upon the request of UNHCR in order to provide first aid and medical services during the process of refugees return to Syria from Masnaa border and Chebaa that took place in July 28 under the supervision of the Lebanese public security, the Lebanese Red Cross prepared two ambulances and a 4x4 vehicle with 10 paramedics, a mobile clinic and a medical crew at Masnaa area where they provided first aid and medical services to 39 health cases.
In Chebaa, the returnees gathered at Chebaa High School where two ambulances and two 4x4 vehicles were set up with 25 paramedics, administrative, logistic and mobile clinic with a large medical staff. From morning until the end of the mission, first aid and medical services were provided to 142 health cases, also 4 cases were transported to the hospital. The cases varied among children, elderly, women and people with special needs. Moreover, the Lebanese Red Cross stations in the surrounding areas were fully prepared to meet any emergency case.
