13 cars from the UNICEF to the Lebanese Red Cross
The President of the Lebanese Red Cross Sheikh Sami El Dahdah received from the representative of the Childhood United Nations Organization (UNICEF) Mr. Roberto Lorenti a donation of 13 van cars in the warehouses of the Lebanese Red Cross in Quarantina (Beirut). The ceremony was attended by the director of Youth department Miss Therese Abdo, a number of the youth volunteers, the director of Public Relations and communication Mr. Ayad El Mounzer, and the director of Logistics Mr. Malek Baadarani.

Mr. Lorenti in his speech praised the importance of the neutral and trustful Lebanese Red Cross who serves the Lebanese people without bias. In his turn, Sheikh El Dahdah thanked the UNICEF for its distinguished cooperation with the Society. This cooperation was made clear during July/ August 2006 war and during Nahr El Bared incidents. This donation is a new gesture to be used in supporting the necessary programs; and the Lebanese Red Cross and the humanitarian organizations especially the UNICEF whom are working together in the service of the human in need.

Those cars will be used by youth volunteers in different social and psychological activities for children psychologically affected during the war. They will also be used in spreading the education, allover the Lebanese territories, regarding personal hygiene and nutrition in addition to other topics upon need.
