“Le Bal International Des Debutantes”
Dedicates the profits to the Lebanese Red Cross
Le comité du Bal International des debutantes au Liban headed by Mrs. Rigina Fenianos has presented the tenth “debutantes” ceremony in the Casino Du Liban under the patronage and in the presence of the Minister of Tourism, Engineer Joseph Sarkis and the guest of honor, Prince Nicolas Petrovitch Njegosh Montenegro. The President of the Lebanese Red Cross, Sheikh Sami El Dahdah participated in the ceremony, with a number of political, diplomatic and social figures. in addition to that, 45 previous girls Debutantes who participated in the previous ten annual ceremonies and about 60 first aiders from the Lebanese Red Cross.
The ceremony included this year 23 girls Debutantes from different regions of Lebanon symbolizing the unity of the Lebanese youth. They danced on Valse music with the fathers then with the friends.
Mrs. Rosy Boulos, the head of the First Aid Teams department in the Lebanese Red Cross has made a speech in which she praised the great role of the first aiders in Lebanon whose number is 2600 first aiders spread among 43 centers and four operation rooms. She presented in the name of the department a memorial shield as an appreciation to the Committee of the bal that was received by Mrs. Fenianos.
Sheikh El Dahdah has also made a speech in this occasion in which he expressed the important role of children in the family and the country. This important role is reflected in the concern of the Lebanese Red Cross in its volunteers and he praised the tight cooperation between the Society and the Committee of the Bal.
The ceremony also included a detailed presentation of the financial and in kind donations presented by the committee for previous ten years to the Lebanese Red Cross from the profits of this annual ceremony.
The surprise of the ceremony was made by the Lebanese businessman in Dubai, Mr. Amal Issa Hourani who was among the invited and was so impressed by the first aiders that he granted an ambulance to the Lebanese Red Cross and offered to rehabilitate the First Aid Center in Marjeyoun.
