An Explosion in Baabda near the Municipality
At approximately 7:00 am, on December 12, 2007, the Lebanese Red Cross received an urgent call on the emergency line 140 informing that an explosion has occurred in Baabda near the municipality. 6 ambulances moved to the location immediately with a crew of 30 first aid workers who made a complete search and rescue in the location.

Two martyrs were found, the Major General Francois El Hajj and his guard Khairallah Hadwan. Moreover, a number of injured were transported by different means to hospitals in the district. The first aid teams of the Lebanese Red Cross transported 3 wounded to the nearby hospitals and provided onsite first aid to 3 others.
