A Training Session in Driving and Safety
The Lebanese Red Cross society organized a training session on driving and safety regulations in the Meridian - Commodore Hotel. The event was supported by the delegation of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies in Lebanon.

The one day session, which involved 29 car drivers from different department and the branches of the Society, was organized by the Logistics department.

The participants received seminars, lectures, and information about reinforcing the image of the Society through safe driving, safety through using the emblem, basic maintenance in case of urgent damages, basic repairs, daily car examination, laws and rules, traffic signs, and techniques in the different driving conditions.

The opening of this session was attended by the head of the Logistic department Engineer Ali Chamas, the national Field Coordinator of Disasters' Management Mr. Georges El Kettaneh, the director of Public Relations and communications department Mr. Ayad El Monzer, the head of the delegation of the International Federation of the Red Cross and the Red Crescent Societies Mrs. Anne Katherine Moore Karlsen, and the Field Coordinator in the International Committee of the Red Cross Ms. Sandrine Tiller.

After a moment of silence for the memory of the martyrs of the Lebanese Red Cross, Mr. Chamas made a speech followed by the speeches of the Cars crew Chief Mr. Abdallah Zogheib and Mr. El Kettaneh. The speeches focused on the necessity and the importance of such sessions in elevating the level of responsibility and reinforcing information and skills.
