Supported by the international federation of the Red Cross and Red Crescent societies, the Lebanese Red Cross (Try branch) received the first stage of the new center building project located on Tyr beach in the ceremony which was held at Tyr park with the presence of Mr. Sami dahdah, the president of the Lebanese red cross, Mrs. Anne Catherine Mor Carlson, the head of the federation’s delegation in Lebanon, the executive committee members, volunteers, and others.
During the ceremony, all the speeches ,that were said, praised the cooperation between the international federation and the Lebanese Red Cross. This cooperation and support, especially building the centers, are not from the international federation’s program, but were only granted for the big role that the Lebanese red cross plays in supporting and helping those who are in need.
After that, the attendees went ahead to open what have been achieved in the lower floor which will be used for holding lectures and a depot, in addition to another floor for medical and social services. Also, there was a floor upstairs which still needs to be completed, especially constructing two centers for emergency medical services and youth. This occasion was also utilized to suggest a study for using the old center as a blood bank.
