Under the slogan "from Solferino… beyond the duty”, the Lebanese red cross memorialized the memory of his fifteen martyrs in a ceremony held on San Joseph school’s theatre at cornat shohwan under the patronage of Michel Suleiman, the Lebanese president, represented by the minister of environment Antoine karam, and a big attendance proceeded by the ex-minister Leila al-soloh hmadeh, Mr. Sami Dahdah, the Lebanese red cross president, in addition to the martyrs’ families.

During the anniversary, all the speeches praised the volunteers' efforts and their unlimited sacrifices; those who rush quickly to save human’s life unconcerned to what they may be affected by. They added, “This organization always endeavored to spread peace, serve society, and decrease people’s pain impartially and without any discrimination in nationality, social rank, religious belief, or sectarian membership.
