Lebanese Red Cross Follows up its Strategy by Opening Spears Emergency Center

Following up the Lebanese Red Cross strategy in developing the Emergency Medical Services which include rehabilitating and preparing a spreading network centers all over Lebanon, a new center was opened in spears- Beirut. This center is rehabilitated and rebuilt by the International Committee of the Red Cross in a ceremony held at Spears Headquarter with the presence of Mr. George Comninos, the head of the international committee, Mrs. Rana kabalan presenting the International Federation of the Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies in Lebanon, Mr. Sami dahdah, the Lebanese Red Cross president, in addition to members from executive, central, and local committees, and some volunteers, donors and friends.

The opening was started with the Lebanese national anthem, Lebanese red cross anthem, followed by standing a moment of silence in the memory of the spirit of martyrs of the Lebanese Red Cross. All the speeches that were made praised the EMS mission and how the volunteers’ will and the supporters’ efforts over came all the obstacles, improved the emergency services’ quality, saved up time, and increased the response.

Within the ceremony, a film about the center’s building stages was showed, and some supporters and volunteers were granted by honoring decoration. At the end, every body went to cut the opening ribbon and toured in the center.
