The Youth branch in Saida and the Emergency Medical Teams in Jensenaya participated in a lecture about Swine Flu held by Dr. Zeina Hammoud at Hammoud academic center- Saida in 7/12/2009. The lecture was attended by about 100 person from various schools in the south. It was interspersed with a beneficial discussion between members from the Lebanese Red Cross and Dr. Zeina Hammoud.

The Youth branch held a contest for the best drawing about  Independence for about 15 schools;  the most beautiful design was selected and a gift was given to the winner from one of the stores in Saida.

The Youth Section Visited Dar al Salam for greetings in Eid al-Adha in Saida . Flowers were offered during the visit and the volunteers spent about 3 hours to amuse 45 elders.

The Youth branch set up a play common to all south sections for about 200 children divided into two parts: one for camps’ children and the other for Saida children. The play was attended by a number of personalities interested in humanitarian affairs and it was entitled by cleanliness and how to take care of ourselves, with the support of the French Emergency Organization.
