The Lebanese Red Cross responds through 100 first aider and 20 ambulances

After the Lebanese red cross received an emergency call on its emergency line (140) on January 25 at 3:00 am, informing about an airplane crash (Bowing -737) related to the Ethiopian Airlines facing the Lebanese coast at the west of Saadiyat, shortly after taking off from the airport, leading 90 passengers from different nationalities including 54 Lebanese passenger, 100 first aider and 25 ambulances, from the Emergency Team of the LRC- EMS were directly deployed from the different EMS stations in Beirut and Mount Lebanon where 10 ambulances centralized in Beirut navy base related to the Lebanese army, and 10 another ambulances in the air base at rafik al Hariri International Airport.

In addition, the Lebanese Red Cross participated in land field surveys’ operation facing the Lebanese shores, and the Emergency Medical Teams delivered 13 corps from Beirut International Airport and the navy base into Rafik al Hariri Hospital.

The Emergency teams are still ready standing with their Ambulances in its locations to follow-up on the rescue operations.
