Aïzone organizes fundraising campaign to help Haiti

The devastating earthquake that hit Haiti on January 12 encouraged citizens and organizations around the world to help the disaster’s victims.

Aïzone joined in the global relief efforts for the international Haiti fund by implementing a fundraising campaign in all of their stores throughout Lebanon.

Aïzone pledged 5% of all sales for the week of January 16-22, as well as the money collected from donation boxes placed near the cashiers at all points of sale.

The money raised was given to the Lebanese Red Cross at a handover ceremony that took place on Monday, February 15 at Aïzone floor, Aïshti Downtown building. Mr. Tony Salamé, the CEO of Aïshti, presented a check for LL 13,400,000 to the Lebanese Red Cross represented by Head of Public Relation and Communication Department. Mr. Ghaleb el Ayoubi, and its Director, Mr. Ayad el Mounzer.

On this occasion, the representatives of the Lebanese Red Cross as well as Mr. Salame expressed gratitude to Aïzone customers who showed their support for this important humanitarian effort.
