Dinner in Monrovia and the proceeds return to Red Cross
A delegation from the Lebanese Cultural University in the world – Monrovia visited the main center of the Lebanese Red Cross in Liberia. The delegation consisted of the Dean of the University Izzat Eid, the Vice President Samir Qashou, a third Vice President Abdullah Al Chahni, and a member of the Lebanese community Zein Jaffal, where they were received by the President of the Lebanese Red Cross Sheikh Sami Al Dahdah. The visit aimed to handle a sum of money collected from the proceeds of the dinner organized by the University in Monrovia in coordination with the Chargé d'affaires of the Lebanese embassy in Monrovia, the Ambassador Ghassan Abdul-Khalek, and was attended by a large crowd of members of the Lebanese community in Liberia, where the proceeds returned to the Lebanese Red Cross. This activity came in response to the invitation of Lebanese Red Cross president to the Lebanese embassies and consulates in foreign countries to encourage the Lebanese communities to support the Lebanese Red Cross.

During the meeting, Eid who transferred the greetings of the university and the Lebanese community members stressed that the humanitarian duty, trusting the Lebanese Red Cross, and the great appreciation for the services and sacrifices of its volunteers was a strong motivation to organize this activity and the amount raised could help in the performance of some services and activities. Dahdah thanked the delegation for this distinctive initiative, and greeted the members of the Lebanese community in Monrovia, as well as the crew of the Lebanese Embassy estimating their effort towards the Society which spreads all over the country and benefits all groups of the society with absolute  impartially and without discrimination, and this amount will be used when needed.
