Red Cross Flag to the North Pole
    On the occasion of celebrating the 150 years for establishing the International Committee of the Red Cross (1863), the president of the Lebanese Red Cross Ms. Suzanne Oueiss handed the flag of the Red Cross to the international Lebanese Desert runner Ali Wehbi who will implant the flag at the North Pole on a 90 degree point on April 9 during his participation in an international race in which 48 international runner from 20 countries participated in. This occasion was held at the Headquarters of the Lebanese Red Cross in Spears in the presence of the Secretary General Mr. Georges Kittani and the Director of Public Relations and Communication Mr. Ayad El Mounzer. 

    It is worth mentioning that the runner Ali Wehbi and after implanting the flag at the North Pole, he will handed it back to the Lebanese Red Cross, which will in turn granted it to the ICRC delegation as a gift in a ceremony that will held especially for the occasion of celebrating the establishment of the committee that is celebrating in Lebanon and in the world under the slogan 150 years of humanitarian action. 

    At the same time the runner Ali Wehbi will have during the next June a very busy athletic program that is organized by the International Committee of the Red Cross with the support of the Lebanese Red Cross.
