An Explosion in Rweiss and the Lebanese Red Cross transferring the victims
Following the explosion which occurred on Thursday 15 of August 2013 in Rwiess in the southern suburbs of Beirut at 6:10 pm, EMS team moved immediately to the location, where their number reached sequentially to 50 paramedics and 15 ambulances. After a comprehensive survey of the location, 24 victims and more than 300 wounded and medical conditions were counted. EMS team transported a number of wounded people to the hospitals of the region and the rest were transported by NGOs and civilian where they were distributed on Rasoul El Aazam, Bahman, St. Therese, Mount Lebanon. Hayat, and Zahraa.

In addition, and during the survey, the EMS team worked on providing first aid to a number of people at the place where their cases have not required their transfer to hospitals, also it had been communicated with the concerned hospitals to coordinate and cooperate to receive donors at blood transfusion centers of the Lebanese Red Cross and in order to meet the demand for blood units when needed.
