An Explosion in Hermel
Due the explosion which occurred on Thursday 16 of January 2014 in Hermel at 8:45 a.m, EMS team moved immediately to the location, where their number reached sequentially to 30 paramedics and 7 ambulances. After a comprehensive survey of the location, rescuing and transferring process started where 2 martyrs and more than 40 wounded were counted in addition to the presence of remains. EMS team transported a number of wounded people and the rest were transported by NGOs and civilians where they were distributed on Hermel, Assi, and Batoul Hospitals, also there were some critical cases that were transferred to Baalbak Hospitals.

In addition, and during the survey, the EMS team worked on providing first aid to a number of people at the place where their cases have not required their transfer to hospitals, also blood transfusion centers were ready to meet the demand for blood units when needed and receive the donors. Till now EMS team are still working at the place of the explosion until the completion of the rescue missions.
