The Lebanese Red Cross had signed an agreement with "Alfa" under the management of Orascom Telecom whereby Alfa will take care and develop and the application of the Lebanese Red Cross “Najat”. Najat will allow the Lebanese Red Cross to identify the address of the person who needs relief directly when calling at its emergency free number 140, which contributes to facilitate the work of paramedics and accelerate the arrival of ambulances to the intended place. The minister of communications in the provisional government Nicolas Sahnawi patronized the signing ceremony at the Press Club in Furn El Shebbak, in the presence of “Alfa” CEO and its General Director Marwan Hayek. From the Lebanese Red Cross attended its president Suzanne Oueiss, the Secretary General George Kettaneh, the head of EMS Rosy Bouloss, officials and volunteers and “Waked” family who were behind the idea and others.
